Two awards from Rotterdam!
"Mundane
History" by Anocha Suwichakornpong is one of the three films to win the
Tiger Awards at International Film Festival Rotterdam. The other two
winners are "Agua fria de mar" by Paz Fabrega and "Alamar" by Pedro
Gonzalez-Rubio.
In
addition, Anocha's new project "By the Time It Gets Dark" which was
presented at CineMart, a co-production platform hosted by International
Film Festival Rotterdam, was also awarded the Prince Claus Film Fund
Grant. The jury, chaired by documentary filmmaker Bregtje van der Haak,
was impressed by the “unconventional episodic storytelling” of
Suwichakornpong's proposal – a highly personal take on contemporary
Thailand.
Wichanon
Somumjarn attended the 8th edition of Berlinale Talent Campus 2010.
Wichanon was one of the two participants representing Thailand at the
annual Talent Campus, a training program for up-and-coming young
